ABOUT JOCK

A true “all-arounder,” Jock Hedblade comes by his reputation in the world of media the old fashioned way; he’s earned it. From the stages of Second City to the airwaves of national radio powerhouses WGN and WLS; Emmy Award winning field production/direction for Steve Harvey and Rosie O’Donnell, to self-penned, produced, and directed award winning documentaries,  Jock has mastered

multiple angles of media by immersing himself in it and striving to perform or fathom every job on the lot, in the field, or around the studio.  Jock has spent years both in front of and behind the mic and the camera, giving him insight and abilities most presenters or producers lack; an understanding of what is needed to perform all the jobs required to deliver an exceptional, fully realized production.

Such knowledge intrinsically creates more meaningful projects and can only be gained one way; through logging countless hours on-air, in the editing suite, on the film lot, and in the TV studio.  Jock’s credentials include; Segment producer for the award winning Steve Harvey talk show, Executive producer for the Roe Conn & Richard Roeper Show, Emmy Award winning producer/director of the Fox TV documentary “Smashing Pumpkins: Full Circle” and the PBS documentary “How Chicago Rocked The 60’s.”

His talents include directing, conceptualizing and outlining program/segment production, guest/celebrity/expert booking, audio and video editing, radio hosting, voice-over, live remote broadcasting, podcasting, promotion, publicity, imaging/campaign conceptualizing, writing, and social

media.  Jock holds a Bachelors of Arts in Mass Communications and has won multiple awards for his work in media, broadcasting, and film.
